One of my new year’s resolutions this year is trying be more environmentally friendly. I feel like a lot of people say things like this but don’t really follow through. They start the year reducing, reusing and recycling, but they don’t end up sticking with it very long after the new year begins. I really want to be different and make a positive difference for the environment. I have stopped using plastic straws, I am going to only buy recycled clothing and I am also going to upgrade my HVAC system to a more “green” model. I don’t necessarily need a new heating and cooling system, but I think it will be a good way to make a positive difference. There are many different types of heating and cooling systems on the market, but I really want to make sure the new one I get doesn’t put any harmful toxins back into the environment. I decided after doing a bunch of research on my own to call a local HVAC company to get some feedback on what they thought was their most environmentally friendly systems. I think the HVAC technician I was speaking with thought I was crazy for replacing my HVAC system when nothing was wrong with my current one. I tried to explain myself, but I don’t think he understood my reasoning. I am just going to have to call another HVAC company that will understand my logic and new outlook on life. I don’t want my HVAC technician to think that I am a crazy person!
