One of our preferred things to do on a Thursday night is to take a ride downtown to the lakeshore plus watch the sunset over the water. This Summer the two of us have been disappointed, however, because of the fact that are experiencing a single of the hottest seasons on record. The fact that it is still over 74 degrees as the sunlight is setting makes it a absolutely uncomfortable time. The humidity levels at night rarely drops below ninety percent plus the two of us have to rest in the vehicle with the cooling system running. Not exactly the most romantic way to watch the sunlight go down. I suppose I should be thankful for having air conditioning in the vehicle to begin with. It is just that I prefer the odor of the water, breeze in our face, plus sounds of the seabirds. I can’t like any of that while sitting in the car. The cold air coming from the vents does not compare to a fresh a single from over the water. My husband tried making it better by purchasing a single of those CD’s with ocean sounds plus a “beach” scented air fresheners. I have to provide him credit for the efforts however I just couldn’t relax plus get into the sunset mood. I am hoping that once Fall arrives plus the temperatures start to cool off the two of us can resume our Thursday night strolls along the water plus watch the sunset care about the two of us used to. This boiling plus muggy Summer can not end soon enough for me. Not cooling off at night is the worst section by far.
